Episode 116: How to Tap Into Your Personal Power

Episode 116: How to Tap Into Your Personal Power

If you follow me on Facebook you may have seen me announce that for the first time in two years I am bringing back my program, Power Presence in 2018. The last cohort I led was back in late 2015 through early 2016 and when we bring it back in January, we're going to change the format a bit (and I will share more about that in coming episodes), and I'm also adding some content.
The original Power Presence Toolkit covered six components of power presence: Confidence, Communication, Image, Digital Presence and Building Your Network. And all of that work started by understanding your personal brand. But over the past year or so with delivering Power Presence workshops to Fortune 100 companies, I realized that there was something missing. I created the Power Presence program as a way to help women elevate their executive presence. But I've since realized that before you can work on the outward appearances of how you show up online and in the office, you have to first  understand who you are at your core. You need to understand what you bring to the table — those things that make you unique and different than everyone else in the world. Those things are what I call your “personal power.” To me, your personal power is a culmination of those super powers you have that make you special as well as the power sources you use to get you energized and recharged. So in this episode of Beyond the Business Suit, I want to give you some questions to ask yourself to help you understand your Personal Power. Listen to the episode for the details behind the questions:
  • What are your skills?
  • What are your talents?
  • What do people come to you for the most?
  • If money didn't matter, what would you do for work?
  • What activities do you do that bring you energy?
  • What activities do you do that when you do them, time seems to pass you by really quickly?
So hopefully these questions help you to tap into your personal power. And if you want to explore this process even further and elevate your executive presence, you want to make sure you're on my email list so you don't miss the announcement.
