LeKeith's Bio

LeKeith Taylor is the Chief Marketing and Brand Officer for The Gathering Spot, a members-only club founded in Atlanta, GA in 2016.  As a multi-disciplinary brand executive, LeKeith’s swiss-army knife skills as a marketer, strategist and creative has helped build The Gathering Spot into one of the hottest start-ups in the country, with plans to expand the concept nationally beginning 2018 in Washington, DC.
Prior to The Gathering Spot, LeKeith spent the bulk of his marketing career in New York City, working on the brand side and agency side with companies such as Nike, Converse, Sprite, Beats by Dre, MetLife, American Express and Land Rover. Desiring a more entrepreneurial path, LeKeith left the agency and corporate worlds to leverage his expertise and relationships to develop “forward thinking ideas and intellectual properties”.  He operates by the phrase #AlwaysBeCreating and loves music, travel, photography, sports, design, architecture and creative exploration. LeKeith is currently finishing his first book and lives in Atlanta, GA with his wife and two children.

Quotables

“I know a thing or two about a thing or two.”
“If you can get comfortable with being uncomfortable, you can make it as an entrepreneur.”
“It doesn't matter when you start the idea. You just have to start it.”
“There's no sequels to this movie, let me make this the best movie I possibly can.”
“I just try to put everything I can into the world because at the end of the day, no one's gonna care about the Instagram followers you had…they're going to remember about how you made them feel and the things that you created and put into the world for others to consume.”
“A brand is a feeling. It is the feeling that people get when they interact with this product or service or the thing that you do.”
“In order to be a brand, enough people have to have the same feeling about you and once enough people have the same feeling about you, that's what your brand is.”
“When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good you do good.”

The Final Five:

1. How he would describe his personal brand: versatile and dynamic

2. How he manages all the priorities in his life: he approaches it based on four quadrants: spouse, children, career and him. You will never able to balance all at a time, and at any given time, he needs to identify what he needs to prioritize or sacrifice.

3. His morning and night time routines: when he wakes up he takes a moment to be thankful, he reflects on the day ahead and what he wants to accomplish. He also tries to read for 15 minutes to get his mind working. He tries to stay away from his phone to get in the rhythm of the day. At night, he tries to get 5 – 6 1/2  of sleep and puts the phone away for at least 30 minutes before sleeping. He also tries to read a bit and gets ready to tackle the next day.

4.What he does or listens to in order to stay sharp: he consumes a lot. His favorites: people on Instagram around aspiration and inspiration, Wired, Fast Company, Inc, and Monocle. He also spends 1-2 hours at book stores every Sunday. He's passionately curious.

5. His favorite power outfit: When he puts on a well tailored shirt or suit, he feels great.
