QUOTABLES:

“Sometimes we have to turn off the opinions and outrage so we can get back in tune with ourselves.”

“We have to bring compassion to people in order to help them.”

“Our assumptions about others are typically a reflection of ourselves.”

“Women have to be allies to one another.”

“Figure out who you’re supporting in the workplace..”

THE FINAL FIVE:

  1. What do you think makes someone a good leader? Self mastery. A great leader first leads themselves. They spend time working on personal relationships, work relationships, investing in themselves and mastering how they spend money.
  2. What is one of your superpowers? To bring fun to stuff! I got that from mom and grandmother. I love bringing laughter to our serious situations.
  3. Who do you stan? My grandmother (RIP). She was everybody’s grandmother: smart, creative, fun, trustworthy. We called her “baby.” Not just her children, but the adults in the community. She is the blueprint.
  4. What are some of the things that when you do them, you feel the most like yourself? Laughing. If I can sit around and cut up with my friend, I feel safe and there is no judgement. And also when I’m in jeans and a t-shirt.
  5. What is something that you love to do that people may be surprised by? Riding my bicycle. I can ride for hours.
