She even shares her experience as a Fulbright Scholar as well as her work curating multicultural books, driven by her desire for her daughters to feel represented in what they read, all while spreading as much joy as possible. ABOUT DR. KAMERON SHEATS

Dr. Kameron Sheats is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Georgia. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia’s clinical psychology program and completed post-doctoral work at UGA’s Owen’s Institute for Behavioral Research and Morehouse School of Medicine’s Satcher Health Policy Leadership Institute. She is a Fulbright scholar, completing her Fulbright research on correlates of depressive symptoms and colorism in the Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago. She is currently a behavioral scientist focusing on preventing violence and violence-related outcomes and inequities through public health surveillance. Dr. Sheats owns and operates her private therapy practice, The Inner Joy Lab, where she helps people navigate stressors and work toward life goals while maintaining a sense of emotional well-being and wholeness. She also curates multicultural children's books through her business and blog called ‘A Me I Can See.com.' She's a wife and a mom to two tween girls and enjoys reading, crafts, and engaging in the theatre and arts scene with her family.
